​Painted Mountain Ranch is home to our AKC Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs (Swissys), some Katahdin cross hair sheep, several busy barn cats and of course us, Lisa and Glen Simonsen.  We have been loving, breeding and showing Swissys since 1996. Our goal has always been to produce quality dogs with excellent temperaments, good health, working ability and breed type.   We love the breed and our Swissys are a part of the family and share all aspects of our lives.

Our small ranch is located in the Pacific Northwest on picturesque Harstine Island.  The island is located west of Case Inlet in the southern Puget Sound, north of Olympia Washington. Our home is about 15 miles north of Shelton Washington or about a one hour drive from Olympia.

We are proud that every Painted Mountain Swissy puppy is registered with the American Kennel Club and that Painted Mountain has earned AKC recognition as an AKC Breeder of Merit Gold.
